“Perry”

The design is situated in the Oberensinger Höhe nature reserve near Stuttgart, adjacent to the Domnick Collection. The design objective was to develop a 25 meter tall observation tower with a small apartment.

In terms of construction, my colleague Benjamin Slimani and I devised a modular facade made up of perforated Corten steel components.

Additionaly, the perforations in the Corten steel panels serve both as a natural source of lighting and as an aesthetic design feature for the tower's facade.

The tower's interior comprises solely of an access staircase, giving the structure the appearance of a stair tower. The observation deck, situated 25 meters above ground level, is shielded from the elements by a corrugated metal mono-pitched roof, offering an extensive view of nature throughout the year.
